Unlock the creative potential in your students by teaching ideation as a fundamental skill. This session offers practical tools and strategies to help students generate unique, original ideas, while navigating the complexities of using inspiration without copying. Through the hands-on “Inspiration Around the Room” activity, suitable for grades 3-8 but adaptable for other grades, you will experience firsthand how to guide students in cultivating their creative process. We’ll also explore how to address the grey areas of copying, appropriation, and tracing, empowering students to ethically incorporate ideas from other artworks. Leave with actionable techniques for fostering ideation in your student artists.
